The Participants Roles


Guidelines for RSW include the organization of teams and selection of student work samples, guidelines for discussion and how to document reviews.


Note-taking form is used by individual teachers prior to a review


Documentation form helps teams track the evolution of the review process as well as the content of discussions over time.


Team planning guide is used by interdisciplinary teams of teachers to plan the focus and schedule of reviews.

Organizationally assure and protect time for reviews.
Attend reviews whenever possible.
Collaborate with teacher leaders in synthesizing reviews as a means of assessing progress toward meeting school and district goals or standards.
District Staff
Participate in reviews and provide feedback to facilitators.
Convene district-level meetings with facilitators.
Provide constructive feedback to facilitators to support their work through constructive feedback.

Select student work to be reviewed.
